I watched the tutorial for the other pattern , looked and the pictures and figured it out. Essentially you do the same thing as the guy did but just add to one side at a time. IE 4 rows of granny square. Then add a granny square pattern to one side only with a different color. If starting not on a corner, chain 4, if ending not on a corner, ch1 then do one DC. After you at a color then rotate clockwise and add another color, etc……
