Materials

To create this pattern, you will need a crochet hook of 1.3 mm and fine weight yarn.

Abbreviations:

Chain(s) = Ch
Double crochet = Dc
Single crochet = Sc
Extended double crochet = Edc
Stitch = st

Special stitch instructions:

Extended Double crochet (Edc): Yarn over the hook, insert hook in the desired stitch, pull up a loop (now you have 3 loops on your hook), yarn over the hook, pull through one loop, yarn over the hook, pull through 2 loops, yarn over the hook, pull through the last 2 loops.

Pattern of Crochet Relief Pattern

– Start with # of chains multiplies of 8 + ch4 (as height), edc in the 5th ch from hook, edc in the next ch across the remaining chains.

– Ch3, turn, dc in the next 3st, ** ch4, *sc in the base st (the last 2dc you made), dc in the same st in row 1, ch4*, repeat * 8 times, sc in the base st, put down the yarn from hook, put hook in 3rd dc in row2 and the last loop, make sl st, ch1, dc in the next 8st from row1**, repeat ** across the row until reach the last 5st, ch4, sc in the base st (the last 2dc you made), dc in the same st in row 1, dc in the last 4st.

– Ch3, turn, dc in the next st, dc across the row.

– Ch3, turn, dc in the next 7st, ** ch4, *sc in the base st (the last 2st you made), dc in the same st in row 3, ch4*, repeat * 8 times, sc in the last 2sts you made, put down the yarn from hook, put hook in 7th dc of 8dc and the last loop, make sl st, ch1, dc in the next 4st from row3**, repeat ** across the row, dc in the last 4st.

– Ch3, turn, dc in the next st, dc across the row.

– Repeat from step 2 to 5 until reach the desired length.
