Learn how to make this crochet stitch for blanket. This crochet stitch is wonderful for beginner crocheters because it uses simple techniques that most crocheters are familiar with, such as the single crochet.
HOW TO MAKE THIS CROCHET STITCH FOR BLANKET?
This gorgeous stitch is a single crochet stitch which creates the effect of a very smooth stitch. You can work on this stitch using circular crocheting or rotary rows. The hook input technique is slightly below the top of the loop. The hook then splits or “spreads” the threads. You must use a 5.00mm crochet hook. You can even use two different colors that go well together like the silver and white!

Unique Crochet Stitch For Blanket
I love this crochet stitch for blanket because of the rich texture and the elegance of it being double sided! This tightly crocheted texture is what makes this crochet stitch perfect for garments that can keep you warm and toasty in cold weather!

I just love the texture of this crochet stitch for blanket, it’s so versatile and elegant that it works very well for a variety of other projects such as cardigans, scarves, hats, jumpers, sweaters, fall jackets, cushion covers, book covers, water bottle covers, bags, and more!
This stitch is also great because it is double sided so you can switch it up by adding embellishments on one side and it’s very useful for stopping the neckline on a sweater or bottom of a garment. It maintains its shape and is double sided which is very useful for maintaining a presentable texture for the projects mentioned above.

Is it possible to get a written pattern in English?
Kathy Horace

Agree with Jane Wallentuny! Written patterns work better for me too in English. Unique crochet stitch for blanket is lovely! English words in tutorial are too small to read!

It looks like it’s a chain of your choice in numbering when factoring in four stitches for each. Row 1: Chain one, turn and *double/single crochet in the next four stitches. Chain four, skip four stitches and repeat from * until the end and turn. Row 2: Chain four in different color, skip four stitches and crochet in next four stitches until the end. Repeat from row 1 and switching colors to your desired look. I don’t write patterns but by looking at the pictures, I was able to figure it out. I hope this helps to some degree.

I agree with those above. Need written directions in English please.

What is the best way to knot the two colors togther. My projects can get tiny little knots that bulge. Help please

What I do is drop 1st color and chain 1 with new color, then knot like this, (right over left, then left over right with ends of yarn) typically called a square knot. Then undo chain and chain again and continue with the new color, stitching over the ends of yarn. I hope this helps

What size hook and yarn for this pattern?

Hi, Been, I have tried the pattern the way you suggested and it was not a good outcome. There is something we are missing. Did anyone else not get the video? I can’t get it.
