THE CROCHET TEA CUP
A great basic pattern with a cute border is used to create this crochet tea cup. It’s made using very simple stitches like single crochet, double crochet, and half double crochet.

Materials
To create this crochet tea cup, you will need a crochet hook of 1.75 mm, any lace weight yarn.
Abbreviations:
- Chain(s) = Ch
- Double crochet = Dc
- Half double crochet = Hdc
- Single crochet = Sc
- Slip stitch = Sl st
Pattern of crochet Cup
Round 1: Magic ring, ch3, 18dc into the magic ring, sl st to the first dc in the round. [18 dc]
Round 2: ch3, dc in the next st, ch3, *dc in the next 2st, ch3*, repeat * across until the end, sl st to the 3rd ch of ch3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 3: sc in between 2dc from previous round, ch7, *sc in between next 2dc from previous round, ch7*, repeat * across until the end, sl st to the 1st sc in the round.
Round 4: ch3, 2dc in the first ch-7 space, ch2, 3dc in the same space, *3dc in the next ch-7 space, ch2, 3dc in the same space*, repeat * across until the end, sl st to the 3rd ch of ch3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 5: 10dc in the first ch-2 space, sc in the next space, *10dc in the next ch-2 space, sc in the next space*, repeat * across until the end, sl st to the 1st dc in the round.
Round 6: using different color, insert yarn at any sc st from previous round, sc in the same st, sc in the next st, sc across the round, sl st to the 1st sc in the round.
- Now we finished the base of the cup, let’s make the cup.
Round 3: back to the first color, insert hook at any ch-3 space in round 2, ch3, 2dc in the same space, ch1, *3dc in the next ch-3 space, ch1*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 3rd ch of ch3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 4: ch3, dc in the next 2st, ch1, *dc in the next 3st, ch1*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 3rd ch of ch3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 5: ch3, dc in the next 2st, ch2, *dc in the next 3st, ch2*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 3rd ch of ch3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 6: ch3, dc in the next 2st, 2dc in the next ch-2 space, *dc in the next 3st, 2dc in the next ch-2 space*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 3rd ch of ch3 at the beginning of the round, fasten off.
Round 7: using different color, insert yarn at any sc st from previous round, sc in the same st, sc across the round, sl st to 1st sc in the round, ch15, sl st into corresponding st in the base, turn, 13 hdc in the ch-15 space, sl st to join.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
