Materials
To create this crochet zigzag stitch, you will need a crochet hook of 3.5 mm and medium worsted weight yarn. You need to make it with different colors.
Notes
1. Each row start/ end with single crochet stitch.
2. Change color for each row to give the pattern a wonderful look.
Pattern of Crochet Zigzag Stitch
– With the first color, make a slip knot, start with multiple number of 2 + chain 2, in this tutorial we start with 26 chains.
Row 1: Single crochet in 3rd chain from hook, single crochet in each chain across the row. [24 stitch]
Row 2: Change to the second color, chain 1, turn, single crochet in the same stitch, chain 1, *[yarn over, insert hook in the next stitch, pull yarn (now you have 3 loops on your hook), yarn over, insert hook in the same stitch, pull yarn (now you have 5 loops on your hook), yarn over, insert hook in the same stitch, pull yarn (now you have 7 loops on your hook), yarn over, pull yarn through all 7 loops], chain 1, skip next stitch*, repeat * until reach the last 2 stitches, repeat [] for one more time, chain 1, single crochet in the last stitch.
Row 3: Change to the third color, chain 1, turn, single crochet in the same stitch, chain 1, *[yarn over, insert hook in the stitch skipped from row 1 (2 rows down), pull yarn, yarn over, insert hook in the same stitch, pull yarn, yarn over, insert hook in the same stitch, pull yarn, yarn over, pull yarn through all loops], chain 1*, repeat * until reach the last chain 1 space, repeat [] for one more time, single crochet in the last stitch.
Row 4: Back to the first color, repeat the previous row.
Continue using this sequence, change color in every row.
