Materials

To create this pattern, you will need a crochet hook of 2.75 mm and DK weight yarn.

Abbreviations:

• Chain(s) = Ch
• Single crochet = Sc
• Double crochet = Dc
• Stitch = St

Pattern of the Simple Crochet Stitch

– start with any number of stitch, in this tutorial we start with 15 chains.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in each chain across the row. [14sc]

Row 2: ch1, turn, sc in the same st, sc across the row. [14sc]

Row 3: ch3, turn, *yarn over, insert hook in the next st, pull up a loop, yarn over, insert hook in the same st 2 rows down, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through all loops*, repeat * until the end, dc in the last st. [14sc]

Row 4-6: ch1, turn, sc in the same st, sc across the row. [14sc]

Repeat from row 3-6 until reach the desired length.
